James, my travel Gnome at Spring lake.

I guess I am a real geek! I could not resist on starting a traveling Gnome section at Flickr. Guess you got to have some fun every once in a while! His name is James, named after the only world traveler I know and a good friend of mine James Strother. Maybe James might take "James" on a trip?

Trip planning in progress!

My fried Max and I are in te stages of planning a motorcycle trip to Colorado at the begining of summer. I have been to Colorado several times and think it will be a great motorcycle trip. Max will be riding his BMW R1200 GS and I will be on my BMW R1100 RS. The hardest thing to plan will be what to take. I'll be posting some of my planning thoughts as well as welcome comments from you experienced riders.

Project 52 - 4 The Glory Hole

This is the fouth in my Project 52 series I am doing this year. I have been to this fall several times over the years, but not in the winter. It was neat to see the area in a different light as well as the ice. I'll post more pics of the falls, hope you enjoy.

Circles

Circles
Originally uploaded by bmwrider.
The third in my Project 52 series. While out near the Arkansas River, these two rocks just barely exposed above the water caught my eye. It was the circles the waves were making that caught my eye. Orginal image is color, but I thought it would look good in sepia along with a special crop.

Second photo for Project 52

Pouroff Falls
Originally uploaded by bmwrider.
Pouroff falls is the second of my Project 52 series of images for this year. I found this waterfall while out Geocaching and came back to it on this rainy day. The fog was getting heavy and the rain was coming down at a good click when I took this image from under my special tripod mounted umbrella. This falls was right at the side of a busy highway. Never know what you will find! With that in mind, you should get out more!
